- Tour ends with a drive back to

After
visiting the palaces and monasteries of Lhasa,
Gyantse and Shigatse travel by 4-WD jeeps to
the famous Rongphu Monastery and day-hike to
North Everest Base camp from where the views
of the North Face of Mt. Everest is awesome.
Continue across the Tibetan Highlands, following
the great Yarlung Tsangpo river valley, to the
sacred landscape of Lake Manasarovar and Mount
Kailash. After exploring the lake and surrounding
area we will follow
the 3-day pigrimage trail around the
holy mountain to complete a once-in-a-lifetime
kora or parikrama. Afterwards,
driver back to Lhasa or by way of the Friendship
Highway to Kathamndu in Nepal.

Visit Potala Palace, Norbulinka, Drepung
& Sera monasteries, Jokhang Temple,

GYANTSE
- SHIGATSE - LHATSE
Drive to Gyantse via Yamdrok Lake and continue
to Shigatse and Lhatse. Hotel in Gyantse.

RONGPHU
MONASERY & EVERSET BASE CAMP
Drive via Pangla pass to Rongbuk Monastery,
world's highest
monastery situated at 5200m.
Optional day hike to North Everest Base

SAGA - DONGBA - MANASAROVAR
Drive west over the Tibetan highlands following
the great Zangpo river to the shores of
Lake Manasarovar in the Mt. Kailash area.

AROUND
MOUNT KAILASH TREK
Drive
to Darchen and start 3-day trek around
Mt. Kailash crossing Droma La pass and
visiting Drira Puk & Zuthulpuk cave
temples. Tents. |

DRIVE
to LHASA or to KATHMANDU.
Return drive to Lhasa or follow the Friendship
Highway to Kathmandu.
Tour ends with flight out of Lhasa or
on reaching Kathmandu. |
