Paragliding: - Fly like a Bird  with Getaway! Himalayan Eco-Trekking Experts!

Nepal is rapidly becoming a popular destination for paragliding lovers in a short span of time. Paragliding or powered paragliding is undertaken in Nepal, in Annapurna range, within Pokhara Valley more specifically. In no time, Paragliding in the Pokhara Valley has earned a high reputation for giving an unforgettable experience and a breathtaking panoramic view of the majestic world’s 8000 meters peaks. There are several training schools in Nepal that professionally train people for paragliding.

Paragliding is relatively a new adventurous activity in Nepal; however, it has become a genuinely pleasing sport that an adventure lover can ever experience. Flying like a bird, silently gliding and rising with thermal and sharing the same airspace with the Himalayan raptors and admiring the scenic beauty of the villages, monasteries, temples, lakes, and jungles underneath with a fantastic view of the grandiose Himalayas, the experience can be truly rewarding, lasting lifetime

Nepal is indisputably one of the richest countries in the world for its scenic beauty. It forms a rectangle on the southern slopes of the Himalaya. The last three years, Pokhara valley has seen a booming rise in the paragliding activities and it now is an internationally recognized destination for free-flight enthusiasts. It is the most popular spot for paragliding for its unparalleled bird’s eye view of the three world’s tallest peaks above 8000m (Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manasulu) and also a constant, friendly climatic conditions for your perfect paragliding holiday. As paragliding entirely depends on the weather, the best months would be between November and December. However, flying season in Nepal commences from November until February.

Paragliding in Nepal is also offered in Mahabharat range, however, it’s most popularly done in Pokhara Valley. Paragliding tandem flight involves a paraglider pilot flying with the passenger. Both will have separate harnesses that are attached to each other and the wing for comfort and safety; they give more like a secured armchair feel. Once launched, the passenger just have to sit back, relax and gets ready for the epic scenery. It is possible to even capture the magnificent scenery in your camera with no complexity. Due to the portable nature and easy launch characteristics of a paragliding (they actually fit into a rucksack); we can take them anywhere and fly them from most of mountains in Nepal.
